Sunday 17th May I have had a lovely day with Gems, Robs and Callum over lunch at the local hostlery. It's sea facing and despite the wind, it has been a good day on the south coast. I took out the 'Beast' and Callum John thinks it is super cool and not bad for a Nan. Tomorrow is D-Day and we set off at 10.30 at night for the overnight sailing to Dieppe. I did a walk throuth of the lights, music and cameras tonight and nearly got the wrong camera to flash. It is very difficult keeping it down to 30 in some areas. No sense of speed in the beast at all. I'll have to watch it in BG since the cops out there jump out with the STOP sign pretty regularly and Suzi and I have been stopped twice already. We did have the incident where she asked me 'What's I don't understand in Bulgarian' and she speak it fairly well and I don't......I came out with what I thought it was and ...hey presto...they let us go as two blithering old ladies that they couldn't spend any more time on.... Have I packed yet....No I haven't...tomorrow is the day for that when there is no one around to interfere and tell me what I shouldn't be taking. Now for an early night and looking forward to that crowded little hill in the south of BG. |
