Sunday 17th May

I have had a lovely day with Gems, Robs and Callum over lunch at the local hostlery.  It's sea facing and despite the wind, it has been a good day on the south coast.  I took out the 'Beast' and Callum John thinks it is super cool and not bad for a Nan.

Tomorrow is D-Day and we set off at 10.30 at night for the overnight sailing to Dieppe.  I did a walk throuth of the lights, music and cameras tonight and nearly got the wrong camera to flash.  It is very difficult keeping it down to 30 in some areas.  No sense of speed in the beast at all.  I'll have to watch it in BG since the cops out there jump out with the STOP sign pretty regularly and Suzi and I have been stopped twice already.  We did have the incident where she asked me 'What's I don't understand in Bulgarian' and she speak it fairly well and I don't......I came out with what I thought it was and ...hey presto...they let us go as two blithering old ladies that they couldn't spend any more time on....

Have I packed yet....No I haven't...tomorrow is the day for that when there is no one around to interfere and tell me what I shouldn't be taking.

Now for an early night and looking forward to that crowded little hill in the south of BG.

Saturday 23rd May

There is so much to tell and the beast did not behave itself at all from start to finish.  We started, I finished.  It is holed up in Hungary and I'm holed up in the little caravan on the hillside in BG.  I remember where I parked it and it should be making its late arrival towards the end of this week.  Full details to follow with pickies to substantiate the demise of the beast.

After extensive repairs I now learn that the beast is  ready for collection.  This will be happening on Tuesday and we shall  be heading back to the homestead on Wednesday am at the crack of.  Stevie babe has been a dream and my knight in shining armour.  The full pictures of the rise and fall of the beast or rather the fall and rise will be delivered in the next installment.

On a happier note my temper is chilled, the hill looks the same and the company is just as good.  The wine is the same as I remembered it and the food just as wonderful.  Went to the Black Sea two days ago and got back last night.  On my way I managed to get my taps for Dushinkovo and a bathroom sink bearing in mind that the beast came fully equipped including the kitchen sink.  Like a good girl guide or boy scout, I was fully prepared but not for a breakdown!!

At the Black Sea I met up with an old friend MikeyB and we savoured the delights of Burgas and Nessebar. And a wonderful time was had by all.

Was lovely to see you and meet up in Nessebar! Thank you for making the journey, especially after your ordeal in Hungary with the 'beast'!

Sounds like you'll have it back shortly though which is good!

Lots of love xxx
