Friday 27th August

Well that maintenance took place yesterday hence no update and by the time that it was ready for me to perform on the pc...too knacked.  Sorry....

I had an extra hour in bed this morning...it was just so hot in the night and it was 7.30 when I opened my eyes and for me that is almost unheard of....6.00, 6.30 is normal....and so it was a wake up quickly. into the car while my guest was still snoring his little head off.  Now I picked up two, but Bekir had the story of a house in Momchilgrad and he had to go and see a solicitor and then had to go to Kardjali but that Sally could still work.  It all sounded rather complicated but when we got to Rogoche, the village before I turn off to mine, Bekir got out, explained that a friend was going to do the rest, and off Sally and myself set off for Dushinkovo.

So the day went rather as 'unplanned' but dear Sally hearing my guest snoring asked if it was OK to start banging and  hammering to which I replied, give me the hammer, and we all started.  I was called a noisy b****but I'm well used to that so nothing changes.

Had to go into Kardjali to ask them to replace the belt on the Planner.....guess what...they didn't have on in my size so had to buy a new one since I heed it for the men, so it should be ready in two weeks time....shall we wait

Well just finished supper, hamburgers in a chilli tomato sauce followed by grapes from the village and hubovo.  Just too much to concentrate on tonight...I'll have a reasonably tomorrow am...men not working....LN.

Arrrgggghhhh.  It has taken me 40 minutes to get this far and I'm absolutely knacked.  What is it with MSN???  The stuff it loads is incredible and half the time because I am overseas you can't run the videos or it won't load any of the pictures anyway...I have to think of another method of connecting...

Really hot day and it's as well that the men didn't work.  I have doubled the size of my garden at the side of the house and raked all of the dried grass off and lobbed it over the fence for the sheep.  Found two more odd shoes, I swear there was a one legged man or woman living in the house by the amount off odd shoes that I find.  Food today was not so inspirational as happened and I mixed fried red cabbage with pasta tonight with sweet and sour chicken followed by bananas which went down well....I think it is also due to the beer which makes everything go down well.

I did manage a siesta this afternoon.  My guest decided to take a nap before lunch, I decided to garden this morning have a late lunch and sleep at about 3.30 until 5.00.  The slow cooker did it's stuff, I just did the rest and then sat out until 8.30 when I decided to get ready for the update and that's when the frustration set in.  I am not going to linger long over this just in case it all goes ladies anatomy skywards..LN...I've got some good pickies to post tomorrow....hover flies digging holes and baby toads in my new garden sink....GN 4 now...

Sunday 29th August

Afternoon...let's try for the pickies first and then I can fill in the script....

Done much later....the warty little toad found its way into the sink that I installed outside yesterday but there was lots of wild life in the garden.  The spider I came across as I was digging up a bush and I'm not sure who was more surprised when I saw the size of his load.  As for the tortoise, that just fell down the sand heap and then set off for the greenery and the sand fly just flew around a bit, dug a bit more of its hole, disappeared inside and then started the whole process off again which seemed to keep him happy.

As for the boy on the horse....I'm not sure who was taking who for a ride but when you think he was only sitting on a cushion held on by a strap, not for the feint-hearted...it didn't help when a car approached, two cows and Socks appeared all at the same time...poor thing got a bit skitty but the horse was alright...didn't bat an eyelid....

Monday 30th August

Morning or for me, afternoon.  I have just spent the last three hours deleting files to make space on my laptop so that it would run defrag....don't you just hate them but at last it seems to be able to do its stuff after the time spent on it.

The script that I put in for yesterday's post was sent off into the ether and never returned but I had a fresh posting with two of the pictures so in the end I gave up and went off to the restaurant....not a bad idea considering that the other option was to string up a rope from the beams and commit beamyside.  (Just updated yesterday's script and all seems to be present and correct.)

I've ordered the rest of the wood to finish off the ceilings and doors and that is due to arrive on Wednesday / Thursday so that should be the last of my major bills for this month at least....and a job well done.  Poor Sally has been on the wrong end of a planer all morning while Bekir has been finishing off the electrics in the second of my bedrooms and so only one to go and the bathroom and finally we can put in a decent staircase.  And then they move out to put in the terraces and render the outside of the building.  This has got to be a September/October job otherwise it dries too quickly, cracks and falls off.  Off to Djebel...to get some money.  It's payday today for the troops....

As you can see from the above post....not much get's past the locals and that's good.  They keep an eye out for you and I don't call it nosiness....I call it caring.  We had a thunderstorm last night so I didn't manage to get this updated but there you go.   On to the new month
