Thursday continued

Hectic....my avatar said she loved the photo and that her daughter in law had taken it with her to Djebel so that she can look at it.....so  said 'I'll do you another' and I did.  Now one of my ladies I didn't have a photo of and she saw the one that I'd just done.  I'd put the frame in her goodie bag but no pickie....so back for my camera, two photos taken, printed and she came up to fetch them and to give me a present of a headscarf.  Beautiful not my usual colouring but perfect (purple, white and lemon) and great with navy or brown.  So now I'm just waiting for the others to want more and I'll set up a production line.

So what else have I done?  Tidied the builder's timber, well my timber, I paid for it, but they left it in a heap when they were working at -3 and never to be seen again....perhaps in the New Year .  I've also casted on and done two inches of my sock working with four needles...piece of cake....but I've yet to get to the heel and the grafting....

Back to work.....

Friday 31st December

And so another year draws to a close and I realise that I am nearly another year older and any the wiser? Probably...builder's terms are second nature to me now, not that I've seen any of them for a couple of weeks .  There again would you if you had a choice...it was -8 overnight and not much warmer now except that the beautiful sun is penetrating the house and making it bright and cheerful despite the hillside being white over and my volcanic pools are now silvery with the covering of ice.  Skates on????  Not big enough or deep enough and not foolish enough

Into Djebel today to see what I've got when I ordered two diaries, (every day's a mystery).  Well it is a diary after all so every day should be a mystery as it unfolds.  Now on to breakfast....I'm having a couple of poached eggs especially for Princess....see I remembered.  The rest of the day could be spent inside unless it warms up considerably and I have to get my bedding ready to take to Samodiva since I might not be in a fit state to drive home if my luck holds.  Fireworks at the ready, I'll head the ten k south at about eight tonight but I'll have a good meal before I go to lay down the foundations.  Onwards and upwards.....

May I wish you all a Happy New Year....a tad early but I'm just about to set sail.  Samodiva calls and it might take some time. See you all in 2011.....
