So the latest from mum is..... She's still got no electricity although some neighbours have. She's worked hard digging the cars out today and has worn herself out! Mikey B, I've passed on the message about a snowman or woman and she reminded me of a joke that she used to tell us as kids. "What's the difference between snowmen and snow women?"...... Snowballs! Somehow, I don't think you'll be getting any photos of snow people. I've been asked to stop doing my snow dance now, Mum and her neighbours have had enough! I'll keep you updated. LN x

Hi Elsa, Sorry to hear you have no power, I guess you've gone back to yester year, reading knitting or something by candle or lantern light.   You should have a few pairs of socks by now. Anyway take care thinking of you. xxxx

Wow OH, that us some serious snow! So Mummy, we wish you a very Happy Mothers Day. 💐💐 I hope you are warm and toasty and not too bored. I doubt your card or present have got to you but at least it's something to look forward to once the snow clears. I'll try to call you again later. Lots of love, moon and back, Princess 👸xxx

Tuesday 17th March

I'm back but tonight is not the night for sorting out pickies....Thank you for all your good wishes....

The electricity came on at just before seven so now I'm charging up the UPS for the wood burner, finding out chargers for phones, cameras and Kindles.  It's been a bard slog...ten days without and when you don't like to bother people for things that you need to do...little old independent me!!

The wildlife have had the biggest feeds every...everything in the freezer has had to go and my fridge is like Old Mother Hubbard's cupboard.  I need to shop and quickly get back to normal.........LN...I've got work to do and it's cold away from the little wood burner in the kitchen so I'm off to stoke up...LN

Nice to see you back on line Elsa. A lot of us have been having withdrawal symptoms.

Think the most we were without electricity some years ago was 4 days. Cannot imagine 8 days though.
