Saturday 29th February

I think I ate too late last night ...chicken leg and jacket potato ...and it was just too much.  I was unsure whether or not I wanted to get up and unload the lot or keep swallowing to keep it down and it stayed.  It was a bit of a restless night but I did managed to go through until four thirty but then went back again until seven so not so bad.  

Normal morning duties and I settled for toast for breakfast...I was giving my digestion a break.  There wasn't a lot of activity at all.  I cleared out the bird table and loaded it with more muesli which the tits seem to prefer.  The cats were out in force again chasing the little white one and I continued my chasing them off the terrace so that they'd do there fighting or mating outside in the field and get on with there caterwauling there.  At eleven thirty I had a flash of activity, the hoover came out, the whole of the ground floor was cleaned and I washed the floors over.  The stairs were washed down and the conservatory sorted, the plants watered and new cuttings taken and then the activity ceased as quickly as it had started,  I took up my place on the sofa and carried on with my book.

I made a late lunch of more of the chicken with pickles and that's going to do me for the rest of the day, I'm taking it easy.  I lit the fire at four thirty and again it was slow to start...it must be the direction of the wind...It was still cold out there and there was still quite a wind blowing.  I closed the conservatory door and locked the outer...I was now in for the night.  The boiler is on for a bath and I've loaded my latest book on to my little Kindle...I've found today that I've had to put the big on on charge a couple of times today.  LN.....The Voice tonight....let the competition begin......LN...
